The pictures say it all….It was the first time Govind was BBQ’ing on his own………..he felt all grown up.
I Made a Rocker Blotter, Yipeeeee
Bring a Fountain Pen nut, I was going through all the threads on www.fountainpennetwork.com about blotters and blotting paper………..seeing pictures posted there and in websites of sellers …….some patience and help from a carpenter working in my house( It is under renovation)……..
The machining on the edges is done with a machine the carpenter calls an “edger”……..whatever that means and yes I used the machine myself.
Now I need to polish it up a bit.
Material:
An old piece of Teak Wood which was just lying in the garage……….$ 0
A sheet of thick blotting paper(finally found a store locally)…………..$ 0.50
A 2″ steel screw/bolt (whatever you call it)……………………………..$ 0.10
The metal thingy on top…..from a hardware store……………………..$ 1.50
Not bad I would say for $2.10
